At the occasion of the anniversary of the Islamic revolution and the week of celebrating the Lebanese Resistance Martyrs commanders, the Imam Khomeini Cultural Center was opened in the city of Qana in south Lebanon.
During this ceremony, Yusuf Sorour, head of the Imam Khomeini Cultural Centers in Lebanon mentioned that the opening of these cultural centers in 15 cities of Lebanon is to revive the name and thoughts of Imam Khomeini and added: “Imam Khomeini is a unique person in this age and has different scientific and political dimensions, which unfortunately his character isn’t known and introduced as it should have been.”
By mentioning the important achievements of Imam Khomeini in founding the Islamic republic of Iran, he said: “Reviving the religious thinking and revealing the political Islam in this age is indebted to the thoughts and Jihad of this divine person.”
Afterwards, Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Raiszadeh, head of the Iranian culture center in Lebanon said: “All Muslims and poor people owe Imam Khomeini, because it was with his rise and leadership that the Islamic society regained its dignity and by defeating the world imperialism, he paved the way for other great victories in the region such as the victory of the resistance against the Israeli regime in 2000, 2006 and 2008 in Lebanon and Gaza.”
It is notable that during this ceremony a well known poet of the region read some poems about Imam Khomeini, the Islamic revolution and the Iranian nation.
Then head of the Iranian culture center in Lebanon said: “The Islamic revolution of Iran is the result of the prophet’s great movement and it was as a new birth to Islam, and it was able to form a new governing system based on Islamic principles and people could attend all fields by the leadership of Imam Khomeini and the Supreme leader.”
