Sheikh Hamdu Saeed, grand Mofti of Tunisia made these remarks during a meeting with the Iranian cultural center director in the capital city of Tunis.
Sadegh Ramazani Gul Afzani, the Iranian director also invited the grand Mofti to attend an international summit being organized by the World Assembly for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought by the end of next week in Tehran.
The Tunisian religious leader said it was source of pride that he would be traveling to a land which was full of blessings showered by the great Imam Khomeini.
He added it would be also great opportunity to visit Imam's holy shrine in order to pay his tributes on behalf of the Tunisian nation.
Afzani also expressed his readiness to expand academic and cultural coordination and cooperation between the Iranian and Tunisian institution.
It is noteworthy that the founder of the Islamic Republic was great champion of unity among the divine religions and also confronted any type of sectarianism or divisions among the Muslim world.
Imam wanted all religions and sects to become united under flag of monotheism and human, moral and social values. He is deeply loved and respected by the Muslim and oppressed nations of the world in various parts of the globe.
Several pundits believe the Tunisian revolution and several other Islamic Awakening movements across North Africa and Middle East were inspired by dynamic thought of Imam Khomeini.
