“Islamic Revolution of Iran echoes an attention to the codes of ethics and divine spirituality”, Sayyid Hassan Khomeini, the chancellor of Imam Khomeini's holy shrine, made the remarks in the conference of 50 Years Awakening in the Light of Holy Prophet attended by the guests of 24th Imam’s departure anniversary.
Reminding the massacre of thousands of innocent people by nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II the great religious scholar added “victimizing 20 million people to establish a government for the so-called superior race is an outcome of the modern industrial age."
Quoting the famous words of "God is dead" by Nietzsche, the scholar criticized western theories which ignore God and spirituality in the life of man and focus on the secular materialistic values.
The chancellor of Imam Khomeini's holy shrine also noted the efforts made to revive ethical and humanistic values; however he called them insufficient and unsuccessful. “The Islamic revolution came to accomplish this mission”, he added.
Highlighting the achievements of Islamic revolution, the intellectual cleric mentioned “killing of people to such an extent had been never recorded in the mind of history”.
The grandson of Imam Khomeini terminated his speech by reviewing the Islamic revolution’s message which was a return to God and spirituality.
