Gholam Hossein Metto, an Indian national completing his PhD in the field of Hadith sciences at Mostafa International University Qom made remarks during an interview with our website’s staff members.
"I became interested in Martyr Motahhari works about 20 years ago when I used to receive magazines in my homeland of Kashmir from the Islamic Republic of Iran," Metto said.
He went on to say that Motahhari noticed during his years of seminary education that wrong concepts and superstitious teachings were being promoted among the masses. The contemporary scholar exerted serious efforts to diagnose the mistaken religious rituals being practiced among the public and instead introduced the real and dynamic teachings of Islam.
These special attentions towards these religious issues can especially be examined in Motahhari and Imam Khomeini’s works, Metto added.
Metto also noted that Motahhari was a pupil of Islamic school and Imam Khomeini had left great impact on his intellectual growth, personality and thought. Some of Imam's students were of such caliber of bringing about real changes and transformation to the whole world.
They had solution for ongoing moral and social crisis across the east and West. We are witnessing an unprecedented scale of unrest and violence in the US-led Western countries. The west can easily find a way out by resorting to pure thought of such personalities, Metto added.
