The special gathering was attended by intellectual and prominent figures from universities and seminaries from across Iran.
Among the most prominent speakers were former minister Ayatollah Ghorbanali Dorri-Najafabadi , the and Hojjat al-Islam Ali, Komsari,
the head of the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works.
Ayatollah Najafabadi stressed the need to devise special programs during the week, which coincides with the first week of month of Jamadi al-thani,
on the Islamic calendar.
He said a range of programs should be composed to convey Imam’s dynamic message and reach out a wide range of audience.
The reputed scholar also praised those who had earlier managed various programs on the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s father's martyrdom.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Najafabadi said how mainstream western media had launched a vicious campaign when a number of instigators and rioters
desperately attempted to harm Imam’s ancestral house.
Addressing the gathering and pointing to the unpleasant incident at Imam’s ancestral house, Dr. Komsari said that such a vicious
systematic campaign by ill-wishers and the main Western media shows that Imam’s ideals and sites attributed to him play a central role and remain
great symbols of Islamic revolution and source of aspiration.
Amin Arif Nia, another speaker said that the programs about Imam should be decentralize, which means they shouldn’t just be organized in Tehran but
nationwide through across entire Iran.
