The 36th International Islamic Unity Conference officially began to discuss Islamic unity, peace and avoidance of division and conflict in the Islamic world, exclusive solutions and operational measures.
The summit begins with Muslim elites and intellectuals from across the globe discussing “Islamic Unity, Peace and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the Islamic World, Exclusive solutions and operational measures.”
Tens of prominent Shia and Sunni scholars from across the globe will attend the virtual and in presence meetings of the 36th Islamic Unity Conference which is scheduled to be held on 9-14 October 2022.
Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi will deliver the opening speech at the official inauguration ceremony of the 36th Islamic Unity Conference which will be held on Wednesday October 12.
A number of Muslim scholars and intellectuals from across the globe will exchange views in the virtual meetings of the 36th Islamic Unity Conference from Sunday October 9-11.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought
said the Islamic world's unity has made the arrogant powers angry.
Attending a press conference on Sunday, on the occasion of the 36th edition of the International Islamic Unity Conference, Hamid Shahriari said the unity of the Muslims got the arrogant powers of the world into a frenzy because their interests in the Islamic countries were at stake.
Shahriari said the enemy had been seeking their separationist policies in the Islamic countries for a long time ago, as it had done to India, Iran, Pakistan, and Egypt, the intensification of which became obvious recently in 2011 in Syria, Iraq, and Iraq.
He underlined that the separationist project was occasionally acknowledged by the enemies, including the leaders of the Israeli regime.
He examined the case of Syria's civil war that was planned to fragment the country, advising the young people to study the country's history, some parts of which were separated and now the US was looting its oil.
The top cleric referred to the occasion of Rabi I, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and the Unity Week named by the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini and said the idea continued to be supported by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who considered unity as the pivot of the Islamic world.
He talked about the holding of Islamic Unity conferences at the regional level, the first of which was scheduled to be in Lebanon.
Shahriari also said that the first days of Unity Week were dedicated to the webinars and that the conference would be held in person on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
The guests at the conference will have a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on Friday, according to Shahriari.
