Once when I was a child, I went and stood behind the Imam whilst he was saying his prayers copying all of the actions he performed.
After the prayers he gave me several volumes of books especially for children.
After that, every time I would go to his room or he would see me, he would first ask me whether I had recited my prayers or not.
If I had, he would congratulate me. If I had not, he would tell me to go and pray and advise me to recite my prayers on time.
