Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran paid a visit to the Holy Shrine of Imam Khomeini, the great leader of the Islamic Revolution on Wednesday.
The visit came on the occasion for the anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s historical return to the home in 1979 after 15 years being in exile.
Imam Khamenei recited Surat Al-Fatiha (the first Surah of the Holy Quran) and paid tribute to the late founder of the Islamic Republic.
His eminence later visited the tombs of a number of martyrs in Behesht Zahra cemetery and prayed to God to bestow upon the martyrs an elevated position in the Hereafter.
