Immediately after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam’s main concern was how to eradicate illiteracy from the country.
Imam took a variety of initiatives by launching literacy movement and setting up special centers which could promote literacy among the adult people
The capacity of schools and university was also enhanced following the revolution.
As a result of Imam’s efforts and incentives, Iran was turned into the most literate country in the Middle East region within few years.
