It has been narrated that Imam had well command over several branches of knowledge but never mixed them up.
Imam also used to object those ignorant fellows who considered themselves scholars with not enough knowledge.
Despite Imam’s interdisciplinary approaches, he used to maintain that each subject had its own place and its role to play in understanding Islamic sciences.
Therefore, Imam never mixed the philosophical issues with jurisprudence and principles of any certain field with the other.
It is worthy to mention that Imam had been a great expert in Islamic philosophy, jurisprudence, Quranic and Hadith sciences, mysticism, literature and poetry.
