The theological work by the founder of the Islamic Republic then covers the status and rights of women in Islam as well as the role of women in their families, and the struggle of a woman, specifically giving examples from women during the time of the Islamic Revolution.
The revolution under wise leadership of Imam Khomeini raised the women status and encouraged them to take part in all fields of life including social, cultural and political arenas.
Describing divine virtues of Hadrat Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), Imam Khomeini once said in a historic message as following:
Strive to purify your character and to make your friends do likewise. Strive so that you react to the outrages committed against you. In your attempts to uphold all the qualities that make up the great character of woman, be as that unique woman, Hazrat Fatima Zahra, upon whom be peace, was. All of us should take our exemplar from Islam by looking at her and her children, and being as she was. Strive to acquire learning and godliness, for learning is not the preserve ofany one person, learning is for all, godliness is for all, and striving to acquire learning and achieve godliness is the duty of us all.

Imam Khomeini had well command over a range of Islamic disciplines including jurisprudence, mysticism, philosophy and other interdisciplinary fields. Imam had also left poetic works which contain treasure of mysticism and spirituality.
The Islamic Revolution under Imam’s leadership in 1979 changed the balance of power in favor of oppressed nations and challenged the dominance of colonial and exploiting powers across the globe.
