Imam Khomeini, the late leader of the Islamic Republic through his historic speeches and messages exposed the crimes being carried out by the Israeli regime against Palestine nation.
Through his historic speech, Imam Khomeini recommended special directions for the Muslim world leaders to raise the Palestinian issue on all international forums. Imam also raised a vast public awareness among the world public about the Israeli occupation agenda.
The Islamic revolution under wise leadership of Imam also revived the Palestinian rights and defended the oppressed nations of the world at sensitive juncture of history.
Imam announced serious initiatives and incentives to display solidarity with the Palestinian nation such as decoration of last Friday from holy month of Ramadan as an international Quds Day.
Following the footsteps of Imam Khomeini, the senior authorities of the Islamic Republic have set the Palestinian issue as of their foremost priority.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has reminded the Muslim world of its “heavy responsibility” towards the Palestine issue, calling for continued struggles against the Israeli regime’s occupation and aggression.
“The heavy and unforgettable responsibility for Palestine rests upon the shoulders of the entire Muslim world,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a message addressed to Chairman of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, Sheikh Maher Hamoud.
“I recommend that all individuals, who feel the importance of this great responsibility, continue to fight against the usurping Zionist regime using diversified tactics,” the Leader pointed out.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the political, religious and academic elite as well as the leaders of Muslim countries shoulder a greater part of this responsibility, giving assurances that the resistance campaign against the Israeli regime will “definitely” succeed.
The union convened a conference in the Lebanese capital city of Beirut on Wednesday, focusing on the issue of Palestine.
Experts and scholars from 60 countries are taking part in the two-day conference to discuss ways to support Palestinians across the world and stand against Israel’s occupation and atrocities.
