Imam Khomeini wanted oppressed nations to move towards self-reliance

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic who left a progressive intellectual and political legacy and advised the Muslim and oppressed nations to move towards self-reliance and self sufficiency.

Following the victory of Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini, Iran made drastic progress in several fields despite all obstacles and hurdles by the world colonial powers.

Some colonial powers, especially the United States imposed unjust sanctions against Iran in order to hinder the country’s growth and progress.

Imam wanted the world oppressed nations to form a united front and play an active role at international forums in order to defend their rights and interests.  

Imam promoted spirituality and revived the divine values at sensitive juncture of history when the world had been plunged into a social and moral decline. 

Imam Khomeini, who is considered great Muslim mystic of contemporary history, adopted a very simple life-style. Imam’s ideals continue to attract the faithful and oppressed people and are increasing becoming popular across various parts of the world.
