According to Iran Interior Ministry, a total of 41,220,131 votes had been cast in Iran’s 12th presidential election which was was held on Friday.
Rouhani was declared the winner of the Friday election with 23,549,616 votes, or 57 percent of the total ballots.
The candidate with the second largest number of votes was Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, who garnered 15,786,449 votes, or 38.5 percent.
Mostafa Aqa-Mirsalim and Mostafa Hashemi-Taba, the other two candidates, received 478,215 and 215,450 votes respectively.
President Rouhani will speak live on state television at 6:00 p.m. Iran time (1330 GMT) on Saturday.
Elections were also simultaneously held for City and Village Councils.
It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic sought vast participation of public in all elections.

With a consummate pride thank the honored nation of Iran for its political growth and its commitment to Islam. They have established the world in all the previous referendums, particularly in presidential elections of the Islamic Republic, that the great Islamic Revolution first is a moral and spiritual revolution rather than a political and social one. This they have proved through the highest Islamic conduct and elevated spirit.

Failure is this duty leads to failure of the Islamic Republic, whose preservation is obligatory for all people, and dissuading people is one of the acts of the devil.
Brothers and sisters, deal with issues with great awareness and with political Islamic insight and avoid the inveiglement of the perverted elements, enemies of Islam and political dependents of foreigners because they want to undermine the foundations of the Islamic Republic by every means, and in getting what they want, they will take advantage of every opportunity and will not let you take part in this vital issue on which your character and country depends.

As I have said repeatedly and as others have also pointed out, no one has a monopoly over elections; neither the clerics, nor the political parties no any other group. Election belongs to the entire people. People determine their own destiny. Election affects your destiny.
