President Rouhani said that one of the points always underscored by Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, has been the world’s public opinion.
"One of the points always underscored by the late Imam Khomeini, was world’s public opinion and he was always stressing that the biggest power in the world is public opinion," President Rouhani said at a breaking-fast meal ceremony with a number of clerics.
"Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has a special place in world’s public opinion," the president added.
President vowed serious efforts to put the country on the track of significant economic growth and prosperity.
"With regards to scientific growth rate in the world, Iran is currently in the 4th place and, in the current year, all efforts will be directed towards economic growth and prosperity."
Elsewhere in his remarks, the president highlighted that "Despite issues that the countries of the region are facing, today the Islamic Republic of Iran is progressing towards development and advancement with stability and security."
A number of high-ranking clerics also delivered speeches on political, national, spiritual and social issues during the ceremony.
