The grandson of Imam Khomeini along with Former Iranian president Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani are visiting the holy city of Mashhad.
They have paid a pilgrimage to holy shrine of Imam Reza— one of the descendants and truthful infallible successors of the hoy prophet of Islam—in Mashhad.
The holy site is visited by millions of pilgrims from across the world each year.
They are also set to address public gatherings and hold meetings with senior officials and public figures.
Ayatollah Hassan Khomeini along with Rafsanjani, the head of Iran’s Expediency Council also visited Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi, the Grand Custodian of Astan Quds, who is now at Imam Reza Hospital due to worsening health condition.
The doctors explained them about welfare and health of Ayatolllah Tabasi
Iran’s health Minister Dr. Hasan Qazizadeh Hashemi earlier said that a team of medics and doctors were doing is doing its best to restore him to health to Ayatollah Tabasi.
“Due to a half hour respiration stop, cerebral hemorrhage has occurred resulting in some reflex problems”, Hashemi said, adding, “At present, however, the heart and digestive system are functioning and respiration has returned to the normal condition but his consciousness is not in a favorable condition”.
“All colleagues who are needed to be present in the treatment process are here and the needed equipment has been prepared,” the health minister emphasized.
Iran made great progress and development after the victory of the Islamic Revolution under wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979. Iran raised as a regional power and supported the oppressed nations and entire Muslim Ummah in recent decades.
