Question: Would you like to introduce yourself at the first?
Robina Fairuz: I am from Indian city of Mumbai where I am working with a NGO, non-governmental organization, which undertakes efforts to promote education and is active to defend rights of minorities.
Question: How did you come to know about the personality of Imam Khomeini?
Robina Fairuz: Once we organized a joint program with close coordination of the Iranian Embassy. I came to know that we were planning the program and ceremony about a great personality of contemporary history. Then I started to explore the works and ideals of the founder of the Islamic Republic.
Question: What is your opinion about Imam Khomeini?
Robina Fairuz: There are very small number of people who are born as leaders. Imam Khomeini is one of few of rare personalities. Imam has been a gift from God, the Almighty, as he influenced millions by leading a matchless revolution. He inspired a great consciousness and raised awareness among people and societies.
Question: How did you find Iran following the victory of the Islamic Revolution?
Robina Fairuz: I did not know too much about the accomplishments of revolution before visiting Iran. After my recent arrival, I felt that the Iran’s Islamic Revolution’s leaders did not only make promise for progress, but have also kept and fulfilled it. Iran’s progress is a direct result of ideals of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic.
Question: How do you describe Imam Khomeini just in a single expression?
Robina Fairuz: Imam Khomeini has been a great and strong leader. It seems difficult that a leader decorated with similar qualities as of Imam Khomeini can reemerge in history again.
