The gathering was attended by people from various walks of life, and the university and seminary figures.
Some parts of the holy Quran were recited at the spiritual ceremony which was also attended by some senior officials and internationally-reputed experts of the Quranic recitation.

Imam Khomeini’s holy shrine, located on the outskirts of the Iranian capital, Tehran, has become center of the religious and spiritual activities in recent years. The site is visited by thousands of pilgrims and tourists from across Iran and the several other parts of the world.

Imam's Exegesis (Tafsir) of the verses of the Holy Quran can be traced in his works like, "Adab-o-Salah", "Sahifah i-Imam", "Kashf al-Asrar", "Sharh i-Dua i-Sahar", "Sharh i-Chehel Hadith", etc.
According to Imam Khomeini, the major element in the Exegesis (Tafsir) of the Holy Quran is expressing the purposes of the verses of the Holy Quran and stating the intention of Allah the Almighty.
