He also added that if the nation is attacked, they will dismay the aggressor by the grace of Allah.
He made the remarks on Tuesday, addressing national meeting of the Ministry of Education attended by directors of the ministry in Tehran, IRNA reported.
Supporting his government's policy of moderation, he added, 'We should not be as pessimistic as saying that it is useless to talk, nor yield to saying that it is useless to do antything and that anything they say should be accepted.'
'Some thought we should not sit at the negotiations table with major powers. Some said major powers do not follow logic, and therefore, we have to surrender or confront them. But the government adopted the third option that we should not give up before major powers and that through logic, diplomacy and negotiations, we can neither surrender nor take distance from our objectives.'
On the issue of loss or gain at the talks, he added, 'I believe that the idea of win-lose game is not appropriate in the world today. Even if possible, it will not endure and the party that feels lost, will agitate the game in near future.'
President Rouhani said the Supreme National Security Council is holding numerous and extra-ordinary meetings in which the text of joint nuclear agreement with 5+1 is being studied.
'If a nation is united in close ranks under same flag and the shadow one leader and with a government equipped with social capital, it can stand against world's powers,' he adde.
Meanwhile, according a recent report by Press TV, Iranian President Rouhani has reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s opposition to violence and extremism, calling for the restoration of peace in the Middle East and the Balkans.
He urged all countries to make efforts for a world devoid of violence and extremism
He emphasized that ethnic strife and extremism would hinder the establishment of peace and security.
Rouhani further referred to a recent nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers and said, “These [nuclear] negotiations showed that other regional and international problems could be also resolved within the framework of logic and through negotiating table.”
On July 14, Iran and the P5+1 countries – the United States, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany – finalized the text of an agreement, dubbed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in the Austrian capital of Vienna.
Under the JCPOA, limits are put on Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for a set of commitments by the P5+1, including the removal of all economic and financial sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian president also stressed the importance of Tehran-Belgrade ties in economic, scientific, cultural and tourism sectors.
It is noteworthy that Imam Khomeini’s approach towards establishing relations towards other countries was too all-inclusive and comprehensive.
The founder of the Islamic Republic did not only suffice to establishing diplomatic relations with the governments, but maintain direct cultural ties with the masses and communities.
The great Imam had drawn basic principles and guidelines of Iran's foreign policy by expanding cultural, economic and political ties with nations and masses.
By following footsteps of founder of the Islamic Republic, all employees, officials and diplomats have been recommended to do their best to expand international relations with other governments and nations at all levels.
