A religious ceremony was held at Imam Khomeini’s holy mausoleum on night of Qadr during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Thousands of people including Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Imam Khomeini and other senior officials attended the ceremony at Imam’s holy shrine on the night of 19th of the blessed month of Ramadan.
This comes as special ceremonies are arranged on nights of 19th, 21st and 23rd of the holy month of Ramadan from 22.30 p.m to 2:00 a.m local time.
Muslim scholars delivered speeches on various religious topics, the holy Quran was recited and supplications narrated by the holy prophet and his infallible successor were read during the spiritual event.
A large number of people attend spiritual ceremonies which are held each year at Imam Khomeini’s holy shrine each year during the holy month of Ramadan.
The holy Quran mentions that among the nights of Ramadhan is one special night known as the Night of Power (Laylatul Qadr), which is better than a thousand months. Divine practices and good deeds performed on that single night are equal to those performed over a thousand months.
Imam Khomeini use to emphasize that devotees and believers to pay special attention for their self-purification during this period.
The holy shrine of the founder of the Islamic Republic is located on suburbs of the Iranian capital, Tehran and is visited by thousands of pilgrims around Iran and the different parts of the world every year.
Friends recall Imam Khomeini used to become more spiritual during the holy month of Ramadan and attached great significance to saying prayers and reciting the holy Quran.
Imam recommended the believers and devotes to attach great significance to holy month of Ramadan as a spiritual opportunity for self purification and get rid of greed, violence and other bad practices.
